Fashion Segment.. San Diego's CW Channel 6!!

So as you know from my previous post, that the news stations in San Diego do fashion segments for various events, seasons, etc.  Recently San Diego's CW Channel 6 did a segment for swimsuits since summer is upon us!  How exciting!  Sometimes I forget how much I miss the sun and I am reminded when San Diego's rays are shining down, how my skin perks up along with my mood.. It's amazing what a little Vitamin D can do to change your attitude.. LOVING the fact the sun doesn't go down until almost after 8pm now!  I feel like I have so much more time in my days!  Ok, random rant.. Back to the reason for this post.. Swimsuit season!!  One of my favorite times of the year...  Four models, to include myself, wore the latest fashions in swimwear from Fashion Valley Mall.. were featured on the morning news and IF you missed it, have no fear, I have a link of the segment!!

Photos for your eyeballs...

Fancy footwear..

Loved that he waved while taking the picture... behind the scenes top secret stuff!!

Rais Case.. Handbag Heaven...

I had the great pleasure of working with Rais Case a couple weeks ago on their handbag line which their mission is to create computer cases and accessories that are one-of-a-kind, handcrafted, and have minimum impact to our environment. Another major part of Rais Case is to develop creative and meaningful ways to give back to the community!  I got to work with some amazingly creative people on the shoot.. Sienna Lynn was my hair and makeup artist and she's one of the sweetest people out there!  Julie Ellis is the owner and creator of Rais Case and I wish I could pick her brain on her interior decorating skills and finally, Mimi and Louis, stylists of Loumi & Co.  Let me tell you, these two lovely girls are going to go far in this industry.  They have that young innovative eye that I see in seasoned stylists.  Oh and who can forget the clothing by Detour Salon... I loved their clothing and accessories so much I went back the following weekend and made some purchases that keeps my credit card company smiling... grrrr.... We also had Grant Ellis, our photographer who works over at Surfer Magazine, nab some incredible shots!  Needlesstosay, this team of women and man, made for an easy day of shooting and hanging out with makeup, clothing, and of course Rais Case bags a breeze..

Of course my obligatory behind the scenes shots...

Moonlight Beach...

Julie has got skills with holding the reflector...

The duo that makes up Loumi... Mimi and Louise...

One of the locations we stopped at for a quick shot... sun was perfect...

The bag I snagged after shooting because I couldn't leave without my own Rais Case original..  Be jealous.. oh so jealous... My laptop has never been so stylish..

And I now present to you, the official photos of Rais Case!!

Just hanging casually on the beach..

Or perhaps taking a stroll around Encinitas...

How about finding fun backgrounds to walk by?

Outtake with Julie.. she's so cute!!

I mean I like hanging out in parking lots with wood backgrounds and so should you..

...any way we can save our planet and use recycled material to stay fashionable is always key to covering our carbon footprint.. GO PLANET EARTH!!!  Now go make your bag purchases!!

Ranch & Coast Magazine Spring Time Editorial... Cover Girl!!

I recently got booked to do the Ranch and Coast Magazine Spring Editorial for April 2012 and was crazy excited!  My first San Diego based magazine booking!!  The magazine was first established in 1983 as an exclusive Rancho Santa Fe community publication, catering to the needs of one of the most affluent zip codes in the United States.  the publication’s reach and coverage have expanded to add other areas of affluence including South Carlsbad, Olivenhain, Del Mar, Solana Beach, Carmel Valley, Santaluz, and La Jolla — all in addition to the most complete saturation of Rancho Santa Fe available. Ranch and Coast magazine is also offered amongst other premier magazines on the shelves of upscale grocery retailers including Cardiff Seaside Market and Harvest Ranch, and is in-room at several luxury hotels including Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, L'Auberge Del Mar, and Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa, to name but a few.  Ranch and Coast magazine’s vibrant and interesting editorial covers a diverse array of topics important to our readers’ lifestyles. Galas, arts and culture, philanthropy, personalities, dining, travel and leisure, wealth, fashion, home environment, health, beauty, and physical fitness.

Some behind the scenes shots of the shoot.. Because I can't help but take pics documenting fun and fashion!

Entry into Balboa Park.. sighhhh...

I didn't end up taking any pictures in this dress because it just wasn't working for the shot.. such a pretty color though...

Vintage Chanel??  Why yes, thank you very much...

And BONUS!!!  They put me on the cover!! there's always that chance they may use you for the cover, but you never know until it's actually published... So I expect each and every one of you to grab a copy before April is over!!  Go on.. I'll wait..

It's a busy time of year for fashion and new spring time looks.. Get creative and mix and match old with new pieces.  Be daring, be creative, just be different.. Make sure there's a POP of color..
