Pretty Flowers for Pretty Brides...

I just came across the new Florist Grand ad that is in the Hawaii Weddings and Honeymoon Escapes magazine.. I didn't catch it the first time because it was paper clipped, but I happened to remove the paperclip and stumbled upon the new ad.. It looks awesome.. a 2-pager!! Evan Morita and his staff are amazing artists.. I had this pliable metal weaved around my neck and they had flowers placed on it prior to me putting it on.. Talk about creativity?! I would love to see the bride who could don such a beautiful piece... What are your thoughts on a flower necklace for your big day??

...flowers in my hand, flowers in my hair, flowers to make YOU smile...

Dreamy Wedding Photos...

Not MY wedding photos.. I did a few shoots for Hawaii Weddings and Honeymoon Escapes Magazine which is officially out NOW... The photographer Eugene Kam did an excellent job of capturing traditional wedding pictures on location at the Hyatt Hotel in Waikiki.. The gowns came from Masako Formals and flowers by Florist Grand.. Let me tell you, I don't know how those brides hold up the flowers for so long... just posing with those things made my whole arm hurt.. for the record, they were extremely heavy while having to pose exactly how they wanted to show off the dress/gown/location.. being a model can be tough work I tell you! BUT the end product always makes me smile and makes it all worth it.. Here's some snaps of the magazine from my little camera.. I don't want to rip out the pages yet until I know I can get more copies.. so for now, a picture of a picture..

I also did a shoot for Abhasa Spa at the world reknowned Royal Hawaiian Hotel aka the pink hotel.. an iconic staple on the Waikiki skyline.. sighhhhh.. I miss Hawaii..

So pick up a copy and/or order it here!

..I leave for the islands in 7 DAYS!!! Gimme gimme sunshine...

An Aloha Wedding in Hawaii...

A co-worker of mine, who is also a friend, Kristen Iorio, is now the new Mrs. Kristen Iorio Kiesel (although I think she's totally dropping her last name), married Edwin Kiesel. These two are so cute together; her very structured, organized attitude (she IS an Auditor like me) and his relaxed, laid back persona match so well it makes my teeth hurt.. They said their vows in front of the Aloha Tower in Honolulu around dusk and had a reception shortly after which was catered by Chai's Island Bistro. Colors for the wedding were very island/tropic inspired with pink, green, tan, and cream.. OH and the best part of the food, was her cupcake tree provided by Hokulani (see a few blog posts down)!! (Duh, I had the red velvet). I wish I utilized my camera more that night, but I was able to put down the food and red wine for a few snaps..

In a traditional Hawaiian wedding, there is the exchanging of lei's when combining families as well as the bride and groom.. le sigh..

Moments after the ceremony, they took their walk down the aisle together for some snapshots with photographer Joser "Jojo" Serina!

When party time came, we had to bustle Kristen's dress so she could dance the night away..

Me with the beautiful bride (bride's dress from Casablanca)..

The "Auditors"... (I missed the flower memo.. well at least my ring was a flower)

The Aloha Tower at night.. I never tire of the views here..

..may you two always have love in your hearts...
