Amos Kotomori... Menswear...

The uber fabulous Amos Kotomori has been styling and putting on fashion shows for years and we hope he continues to do so because he really knows how to put on a great show.. He's the man behind the big Ala Moana Fashion Shows and many photoshoots we see around Hawaii.. It's no surprise that Mr. Kotomori has launched a new line himself titled Kotomori.. It's taking aloha wear and tweaking it to fabulosity.. for men.. Each piece takes meticulous time to create and dedication from Mr. Kotomori. The line can be found at fashion institute Neiman Marcus... He had a viewing party and of course the girls had to stop by!

Fashion lover Nadine Kam was there too and snapped a pic with Amos...

Eye Candy: Alice + Olivia...

I've been eyeing more and more pieces from Alice + Olivia and even made a purchase a few months back from Neiman Marcus on a new piece that's black and white with sequins from the designer, but haven't found an occasion to wear it.. I'm just always picky when I wear certain dresses or items, but then again, you can't always save things "for special moments" because every day should be a special moment right? Sooooo I scoured the website and found classic pieces that's good for the office, nights out, and casual items.. take a look:

The Shoshanna Jabot Career Dress, retails for $398.. paired up with those tights and boxed sleeves.. a must!!

How about a casual cool? The Cecilia Cascade Dress, retails for $220.. The drapery on this number is beautiful.. I could see myself wearing this to a brunch with the girls paired up with a blazer..

For a girls night out, these next two dresses would be killer.. First, the Roxanna Bustier Dress, which retails for $396.. The red is so glam and skirt so intricate in the detailing!

The Annie Front Zip Leather Bustier is next up, retailing for $495.. I'm not usually a fan of leather unless it's a leather jacket, but this dress is amazing.. The deep sweetheart neckline is such a do! I die!

Lastly, to fulfill my sparkly phase, I'm falling for this brown sequin jacket.. you can match this with just about anything! Jeans, shorts, dresses, it's absolutely a staple for any wardrobe at the moment.. The Masha Metallic Faux Fur Jacket, retailing for $396..

When I finally put on my own Alice + Olivia dress I'll be sure and upload it to this blog.. until then, more fashion pieces to find..

Neiman Marcus Junior League Charity Fashion Show..

About 20 models took part in the Neiman Marcus fashion show at the Junior League of Honolulu Charity Event this past Saturday. Held at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki, the events proceeds help the League fund projects that benefit our community.

Nothing like early call times to shock your body on the weekend, wake up those tired eyes, and strut all you've got on the runway. Rehearsals were from 8-9am, 9-12pm we were in hair and makeup. 12:30pm showtime! The event titled "Sacs in the City" featured several donations from Loco Boutique, Coach, Marc Jacobs, Prada, and other designers. I was like a kid in a candy store with all those purses laying around; I wanted to make bids myself! Here are a few shots of our hair and makeup. Makeup was done lightly for a fresh look (Thanks Kate Schuette for letting me take a snapshot of your makeup! What a cute redhead!).. Hair inspired by Nicole Ritchie with a part down the middle and low braids in the back (I liked how my peekaboo blonde bits stuck out).

We had 3 changes each.. Something about seeing those racks full of pretty clothing makes you giddy inside..

I was dying over the jeggings (Joe's Jeans) I wore for my first outfit.. mixed with that heavy studded jacket (Current/Elliott). It's like they reached into my brain and knew my taste...

Outfit number 2 was amazing! I wanted to take that Philip Lim jacket and keep it myself.. Retails for $995 and worth every penny. The gold sequins sparkled and was really comfortable to wear... Did.. Not.. Want.. To.. Take.. It.. Off..

The third outfit was the craziest one.. I think the Marc Jacobs t-shirt threw me off (sketchy Miss Marc label), but when paired with that jacket (St. John) and funky skirt, it kind of flowed together in a sophisticated but I like to take risks kind of way..

We did our finale walk as a group to Lady Gaga's Just Dance.. Never get tired of that song for the runway.. Here's a shot we took right after the show.. love these girls.. Models in Hawaii are one of the most amazing to work with.. Bright, educated, good-hearted girls..
