Exhibit Ambush.. Part 2..

A few blog posts back I mentioned I was in the Exhibit Ambush fashion show that took place on October 22.. Pictures kept pouring in from various photographers and I wanted to make sure I got all of them and could sift through before posting on the blog.. It was a crazy show!! Three days straight of rehearsals to include a few dress rehearsals. Since there were so many models and designers, they wanted to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible! Exhibit Ambush lived up to all the hype! I got to get a sneak peek of the Michael Jackson impersonator and his Smooth Criminal was on point.. Part of me always wants to sit in the audience and watch the show but when I'm watching the show I want to be in the show.. BUT the good thing is there were some videographers that helped capture the night so those of us on stage got to see some of the action we were missing hanging backstage! It was such a fun time and I got to meet a ton of San Diego's elite models who definitely take the runway by storm.. I walked in 5 of the 9 designers shows which were all back to back! Talk about nonstop adrenaline for a straight 45 minutes at least! Some of the designers had to change into two outfits! It was madness backstage with clothing and accessories everywhere but on stage it flowed like elegance and sometimes a straight party!! After it was all said and done I was glad to be part of such a good group of people who helped to put this crazy show on and for it to go to a good cause!!

Exhibit Ambush Fashion Show.. Part 1...

If you're into charities and being a do-gooder AND into fashion and art.. this event is for you!! I'll be walking in this year's Exhibit Ambush Fashion Show on October 22nd located at the Horton Plaza Event Space.. Check the deets below:

This 2011 Fall Season; Exhibit Ambush is transforming the runway into an extravaganza. Think of an avant-garde show with a twist. We will be highlighting the oeuvre of awesome fashion and accessory lines that haven't been seen. Our contemporary artists and graphic designers relish in taking risks and will leave you in awe when you see their work. Our staff draws most of their inspiration from their surroundings, social networking, street fashions, research, and the classic underdogs. Fashion and art are an integral part of our culture and lifestyle. This event will give the artists the creative freedom to express themselves. From the moment you walk out of your car; there will be a story unfolding as your enter the venue. All talent will simultaneously be interacting with each other. The fashion industry is constantly changing, and therefore it's important for our designers to keep up with the status quo. The garments in this show will have that shock value that will leave you wanting more.

The event is hosted by Yara Sofia from Ru Paul's Drag Race and will feature Jesus Estrada from Project Runway among many other talented designers from San Diego and others flying in for the show... Get your tickets on www.wantickets.com... I heard they're limited, so get yours ASAP!!

Here's a sneak peek of one of the designers clothing.. This show won't disappoint!! I'm already excited!!

Here's the do-gooder part.. Proceeds go to the Amazon Foundation!!

Fashion Night Out.. September 10, 2010!!

As many of you fashion savvy girls out there know, September 10th has been deemed Fashion Night Out, “a global initiative to promote retail, restore consumer confidence, and celebrate fashion,” headed by VOGUE, NYC & Co., the City of New York and the Council of Fashion Designers of America. Think Anna Wintour... fashion envy if you will... I didn't get to spend my hard earned cash on this night because I was backstage for the Ala Moana Fashion Show where we showcased brands such as Cache, Betsey Johnson, Diesel, and 7 for all Mankind.. Four fashion shows on the hour lasting 15 minutes, each having 2 outfits but with a total of 4 designer segments per show.. Total of 8 looks for each model.. Definitely tests your endurance when you have this adrenaline high over and over again.. It's like your body doesn't know what you're doing.. the fun of being on stage showing off the latest trends, then when it's over, we're hanging backstage rushing to get the next hair change and makeup touchup with the 45 minutes we have left in the hour.. (finding time to munch on the cookies and grapes in between breaks).. BUT hanging with my besties and surrounded by all those clothes and makeup... perfect way to spend Fashion Night Out...

The Stage:

Backstage organized chaos:

Anna and I had our area to get ready for when the actual show was about to start... shoes layed out, clothing lineup in order, attitude on stage!

Getting our makeup done by Sephora and hair by Aveda.. Can you say bright red lips??

Getting our pose on.. what we do..

Show number one.. First and second looks (7 for all Mankind and Spiral Girl)... sassified...

Final poses for the first show..

Show number two..Third and fourth outfits... Dress from Cache, but this show was about accessories.. First was Island Girl, then Jimmy Choo handbags.. Anna getting her hair changed for the look.. Aveda has some creative hair stylists!

On our third and fourth show we had Afatia Thompson sing the entire length of the fashion show.. the kid has got some tunes!! One of my fav poses from Marisa Gey..

Show number three.. fifth fashion from Diesel and sixth from Tori Richard..

Final show.. BCBG and Cache..
